Mike Regnier joined
the College of Education and Health Professions in the Fall of
2003. He was employed as one of two Mentor Support Specialists
working in the S.T.E.A.D.Y Program. He has continued in that role
and now also works in the Hammer Project, the Kids to College
Program, the Partner School Network, and the Education Hall of
Fame.
Mr. Regnier retired after thirty years of teaching scoial studies beginning with a five year term at Kendrick High School and ending after twenty five years a Shaw High School. While at Shaw, he served as Social Studies Department Chair, Chair of the Curriculum Council, senior class sponsor, athletic director, and coach of four sports. Mr. Regnier was recognized as Shaw's STAR teacher twice as well as Muscogee County School District's STAR teacher. He also earned the honor of being selected as Teacher of the Year at Shaw on two separate occasions.
